Coleccion de camaras: Kodak Brownie Model I, 1957

Coleccion camaras antiguas, antique cameras

From Camerapedia…:  Kodak brownie model I, 1957
The Kodak Brownie Model I was a box camera for 620 roll film. It was made by Kodak Ltd. in the UK from 1957 to 1959. As a typical tin box camera it was  equipped with a cheap single speed rotary shutter. The lens was a slow Kodet f/14. Of course it had also the obligatory two built-in brilliant finders, one for previewing horizontal and the other for previewing vertical shots, as was standard for box cameras for 60 years. Like other British 1950s cameras it was sold with a canvas case.
The Model I was a cheaper version of the Kodak Brownie Flash II, III and IV, without flash sync or close-up lens, and replaced the earlier Brownie Model C.

Coleccion de camaras: Agfa Ansco Readyset Royal No. 1A, 1928

Coleccion camaras antiguas, antique cameras: Agfa Ansco Readyset Royal No. 1 A

Una de las primeras de mi coleccion de camaras.  Esta es una Agfa Ansco Readyset Royal No. 1A, 1928 y el cuero es de Avestruz.

Más información de Camerapedia:

Agfa Ansco Readyset Royal No. 1A, 1928
1925-1932. 2½x4¼” rollfilm, folding camera. ‘Ostrich Grain’ covering
The Agfa Readyset models were introduced in the 1920’s in direct competition with the new colored Kodak models. They were stylish with bright unusual colors and textured grains simulating Silver Fox and Ostrich leathers.  Along with the Kodak Vanity series, the Readyset Royal models targeted the booming market for stylish clothes and matching accessories.
Agfa merged with Ansco in 1928 and the camera shown here is the model 1A produced from 1928 to 1932 at the onset of the Great Depression when the market for fanciful cameras could have been expected to fade rapidly.  However, it did not. Cameras became family treasures even more.
These cameras have rich ostrich grained leather covers and russet leather bellows.  None the less, they are considered to be common in spite of their attractive designs.

From Camerapedia:  The Canon AE-1 is a 35mm film SLR camera with shutter-priority automatic exposure and manual override, produced by Canon in Japan and produced between 1976-1984.

By using a microprocessor, Canon was able to simplify the design, and by using a highly automated production process, they were able to keep costs low. The result was one of the first affordable TTL autoexposure cameras to hit the market. After its introduction in 1976, the Canon AE-1 quickly became a very popular camera worldwide. The AE-1 was replaced a few years later by the AE-1 Program.  Date code: inside the film spool compartment, eg. R 217 means the production year 1977 and month.

The XG 1 was the second to appear in the XG series in 1979. It was basically a XG-E with a less informative finder display and a non-detachable back door. It was available in two versions in chrome finishing only and was an export model, not sold in Japan.Besides the fixed back door, the XG 1 had a simplified viewfinder read out: The range between 1/15s and 1/2s was now represented by one LED. Further it lacked the memo holder and had just a DIN/ASA conversion scale instead.  http://camerapedia.wikia.com/wiki/Minolta_XG_series

From Camerapedia:  Reid I, 1958
Reid & Sigrist were a British manufacturer who made Leica-style cameras during 1950s and early 1960s. After World War II the British took plans for camera design from the E. Leitz factory in Germany. Reid and Sigrist, who were an engineering company and had made aeroplane parts during the war, took on manufacture of a camera based on these plans. They produced the Reid III camera, which was a copy of the Leica IIIb. A Reid I and Reid II were also made, being simplified versions of the III
